The University of Edinburgh will host AIMday Data for Manufacturing on Tuesday 2 April 2019. This is the first in a series of data-themed AIMday events taking place at the University this year.

Academic Industry Meeting day, or AIMday™, is based on workshops where questions submitted by companies around a central theme are discussed with academics from relevant University disciplines.

AIMday Data for Manufacturing is aimed at companies and organisations in the manufacturing sector looking to innovate and harness the power of data.

The manufacturing industry – like many other industries – is facing a new landscape that could have implications for profitability. Manufacturers taking advantage of the opportunities that this new landscape presents can vastly improve their operations.

Participating companies at AIMday Data for Manufacturing can meet teams of researchers with practical experience across data disciplines to explore and address the specific data challenges each company faces.

Each question submitted by a company is tackled by a group of multi-disciplinary academics with the aim of finding pathways to solutions.

One question, one hour, a group of academic experts: that is the AIMday format!

Register your attendance at AIMday Data for Manufacturing by submitting your question(s) on the registration page before Monday 25 February 2019.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the team at Edinburgh.Innovations@ed.ac.uk.
