Welcome to AIMday Fintech
The University of Edinburgh will be hosting AIMday Fintech on Wednesday 28 November 2018. We look forward to welcoming companies and organisations to discuss your challenges related to financial technologies and innovation in financial services with academics from across the University.
Academic Industry Meeting day, or AIMday™, is based on workshops whereby company questions are submitted around a central theme which are then discussed with academics from across the University disciplines.
Each question submitted by a company is tackled by a multi-disciplinary group of academics with the aim of finding a pathway to a solution.
One question, one hour, a group of academic experts.
Fintech is changing the world of finance for consumers in numerous ways. With data-driven digital technologies rapidly merging, companies now have access to more scalable tools and online solutions than ever before.
Although technology has always changed and affected various industries, the advances and development continue to present both potential benefits and risks.
With our expertise in finance, data science and digital innovation, the University of Edinburgh is well placed to help your organisation address its fintech challenges by working with academic experts from across the University.
We particularly welcome questions on the following topics:
- Cyber security
- Product and service design
- AI and machine learning
- Policy, ethics and regulation
- Big data, analytics and modelling
Register your attendance at AIMday Fintech by submitting your question(s) on the registration page before Wednesday 10 October 2018. We welcome up to three (3) questions per organisation.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the team at Edinburgh.Innovations@ed.ac.uk.
