Organizing universities
Come and meet experts from some of Europe´s leading universities within life science, with a special focus on CNS related diseases!
Research on the central nervous system (CNS) and its disorders is highly prioritized at the organizing universities, for example under the StratNeuro program and at the Uppsala Brain Injury Center. This AIMday brings together a number of co-organisers with varied and complementary expertize in this field. The SciLifeLab has made a large strategic effort within molecular biosciences that encompasses strong research within basic neuroscience research and CNS disorders. The Uppsala Berzelii Technology Center for Neurodiagnostics aims to identify and validate relevant biomarkers so as to facilitate early diagnosis of neurodegenerative disease, whereas the Stockholm Brain Institute is focussed on understanding the neurobiological basis of cognitive functions in the healthy and diseased human brain.
The huge unmet medical need in the field of CNS disorders emphasizes the impact of being able to make significant contributions in this area!
