    Wireless technology is not considered robust enough today for video surveillance applications. Typically it is considered too easy to disrupt or is disturbed by radar in harbors. Are other wireless protocols more stable or will future technologies be more suitable? Is 3G, LTE etc a better solution than 802.11?

    Various wireless technologies might be a way forward for video surveillance applications in remote areas where wired infrastructure is not available but the cost of data transmission must be minimal. Do you see future communication protocols that can handle low utilization upstream at low cost of locally stored data? I.e during day time video data is stored locally but when the load on the net is low the data is streamed to cloud storage at basically no cost. Will there be future Mesh network technologies that would be an effective complement to cellular network?
