Welcome to AIMday Big Data, AI and the One Health Agenda

QUB

Queen’s University Belfast will be hosting AIMday Big data, AI and the One Health Agenda on 19th October 2018 at Riddel Hall. We look forward to welcoming companies/public organisations and Queen’s academic researchers to this event for joint discussions on challenges in big data, machine learning, and AI in healthcare and health preservation.

Datasets in health and biomedical research come from lots of different sources including biological, clinical, economic, environmental, epidemiological, genomic and social data. The application of approaches from big data, machine learning, and AI, to process, analyse and utilise this data has the potential to transform healthcare, addressing major global challenges in the prevention, detection and diagnosis of disease.

Queen’s University Belfast has world class expertise in AI, bioinformatics, cybersecurity, data analytics, machine learning, precision medicine and public health. Further details on our expertise can be found here.

This event offers an opportunity for external organisations and researchers from Queen’s University Belfast to come together and discuss current and future challenges in the field.

Discussions are open – it is all about an exchange of knowledge with a focus on finding new approaches and a starting point for further cooperation, rather than trying to develop solutions on the day.

You can read more about this unique concept on the AIMday concept page.
