AIMday Big Data 2014

Welcome to AIMday Big Data 2014

December 8, 2014, KTH Campus at Valhallavägen, Stockholm

Big Data is the concept of gaining information from such volumes of data (petabytes, hexabytes etc) that are large enough to not confer information to a human. Examples of such data volumes are, e.g., all documents on the Internet, the human genome, or all train journeys in Europe during a year. The current rapid development in data volumes in many fields of science and application means that Big Data research is essential today, and will become even more essential in the future.

AIMday Big Data 2014 is a unique opportunity for companies and organizations to make contacts with academic scientists and exchange knowledge related to Big Data. The meeting is centred around workshops where questions raised are discussed by academic scientists from several different disciplines. Questions are welcomed from both companies and public organisations. The meeting is free of charge.

One question, one hour, a group of academic experts – the AIMday format is unique.

Register your attendance at the event by submitting a question on the registration page. Examples of question formats can be found under About the Questions in the menu to the left.

The topics of discussion include but are not limited to:

  • Data analytics
  • Real-time decision support
  • Data representation
