Virtual event – How will it work?

Owing to the current on uncertainty regarding travel, we will be running this AIMday as a virtual event. AIMdays are all about making new connections and finding mutual interests during small-group, roundtable discussions.

Opening Plenary

An opening plenary is an important part of our AIMday events. A series of short talks from leading researchers helps set the scene for the day, and event organisers can set our how the day will work and provide tips for how to get the most out of the format. This virtual event will be no different! Using an online format, you will still get the opportunity to hear from leading researchers and to ask them questions.

Roundtable Discussions

The key feature of an AIMday is the industry-led, roundtable discussion. Academic researchers are asked to sign up for specific sessions at registration, and each discussion always has a representative from the organising team to facilitate discussion.

For this virtual AIMday, once registrations are confirmed, each delegate will receive a video-conferencing invite for each of the sessions they have signed up for. On the day itself, delegates will simply have to open the link at the appropriate time, as they would with any video conferencing meeting.
