What AIMday offers

AIMday – one question, one hour, one group with broad competence – has proven to be rewarding. Participants have found valuable contacts and new ways of tackling challenges, and collaborations have emerged.

Sami organisations, companies, entrepreneurs, older Sami and other bearers of knowledge are given an opportunity to:

  • Share and be inspired by various researchers’ ideas and perspectives regarding challenges in Sápmi.
  • Discover new opportunities through exchange of knowledge and collaborative research.
  • Create contacts for future requirements of contract education.
  • Meet potential future collaboration partners and employees such as doctoral students and researchers.
  • Meet representatives of other Sami organisations, companies, entrepreneurs, older Sami and other bearers of knowledge.

Researchers are offered an opportunity to:

  • Be inspired to identify new questions and research projects.
  • Learn more about the challenges and knowledge requirements of Sami organisations, companies, entrepreneurs, older Sami and other bearers of knowledge.
  • Create contacts for future projects, new empirical studies, collaboration or employment.
  • Meet researchers from other subject areas, departments and universities who study similar problems.
  • Discover how their own knowledge can be used to highlight challenges defined by Sami organisations, companies, entrepreneurs, older Sami and other bearers of knowledge.
  • Find relevant societal challenges relating to Sami themes and/or Sami partners to address and collaborate with in calls for research proposals.
