Processing of personal data at aimday.se

AIMday is a concept developed by Uppsala University Innovation, an entity at Uppsala University, and made available to other universities as well. In order to provide the necessary functionality at this website, aimday.se, Uppsala University collects and processes personal data. All collection and processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When an event is hosted by Uppsala University, Uppsala University is the controller. When the event is hosted by another university, this university acts as the controller and Uppsala University as the processor. Any inquiries where Uppsala University is the controller should be sent to dataskyddsombud@uu.se. Inquiries where another university is the controller should be sent to that university’s data protection officer.

What personal data does aimday.se collect and why?

Event registration

When you register for an event, you consent to our collection of personal data about you. We require this information:

  • Full name
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • Title
  • Institution
  • Expertise areas
  • Any food preferences

After the event we retain the questions, names, title and institution. We also retain your e-email address in order to send information on new events that might be of interest to you.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, in which case we will remove all your personal data without undue delay. Please note that if you withdraw your consent before the event in question, you will not be able to attend the event as we can no longer plan for your participation.

Contact information

When you contact us by email, we collect your name and your email address. The legal ground is legitimate interests, as we need to process this information in order to answer your inquiry. The information is retained for as long as needed to completely process your inquiry (maybe indefinitely unless you ask for it to be removed?).
