Welcome to Finland’s First AIMday: Smart and Secure Energy System Integration

How can we ensure the smart and secure integration of future energy systems? This question takes center stage when companies, experts, and students come together at VAMK’s first AIMday – Smart and Secure Energy System Integration.

AIMday (Academic Industry Meeting day) brings together businesses, experts, and students to discuss the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow’s energy and industrial systems. Throughout the day, we will explore how smart and secure energy system integration can be achieved effectively, responsibly, and sustainably.

This broad theme connects perspectives from electrical and automation engineering, mechanical and energy engineering, and business management – ensuring a multidisciplinary exchange of ideas and fostering collaboration between companies and VAMK’s experts and students.

AIMday is a concept developed by Uppsala University, centered on practical dialogue. Companies and organizations submit their real-world challenges and questions in advance, which then form the foundation of the day’s discussions. Each topic is explored in a one-hour (max 60 min) small-group workshop, bringing together company representatives, researchers, experts, and master’s students from different fields.

Themes include:

  • Optimization of energy production and consumption
  • Safety of electrical and automation systems
  • Smart grids and data utilization in the energy sector
  • Sustainable business models and energy markets
  • Mechanical solutions for improving energy efficiency
  • Cybersecurity and security of supply

AIMday offers a unique opportunity to share knowledge, build networks, and create new pathways for collaboration – driving sustainable development in energy systems.

We are proud to host VAMK’s first AIMday, which also marks the first AIMday ever held in Finland.

Participation in the event is free of charge.
