AIMday brings academy and society closer together

As a knowledge-driven organisation, Umeå University is striving to provide students and staff with unique opportunities for learning and development – whilst simultaneously serving society with new knowledge and creative citizens. The AIMday concept enables stimulating connections between researchers, local industry, the public sector and the society in general.

What’s in it for the university?

AIMday offers an informal, personal and efficient concept that provides opportunities for scientists at Umeå University and external parties to exchange knowledge, and together generate project ideas linked to organizational and societal challenges. AIMday also enables researchers to connect across institutional and faculty boundaries, which can generate new multidisciplinary research projects with scientific and societal relevance.

Why AIMday?

AIMday is a flexible and inclusive model, applicable to all research areas. The meeting format with one hour-sessions is efficient and the discussions brings people with common interests together. The participants can through the sessions find collaboration activities of mutual benefit and generate joint research projects with organizational and social relevance.
